Following the completion of the cyclical repairs and decorations of Clare Gardens many residents have voiced their concerns over the quality of the work undertaken by Wates Living Space Ltd.
The works were officially finished in July 2017 and the 'End of Defected period' inspection has just been carried out today 29th September 2018. The inspection was carried out by two member of RBKC, a representative of Wates Living Space Ltd and an independent Quality Assurance specialist. Residents were also invited to attend or schedule home visits to discuss specific issues.
The Chair of CERA was also present during the inspection and the following communal areas issues were established:
1) paint is coming / pealing off many surfaces and does not wash clean
2) metal railing paint coming off and many railings are rusty and damaged.
3) concrete of walkways steps crumbling, walkways brickwork crumbling too.
RBKC is now compiling a report of defects to present Wates Living Space.
